Stop Spam! Using Filters, Third
Party software and more!

Spam now accounts for nearly 40% of all email sent. The average email user can expect nearly 3000 unwanted emails each year. Deleting and sifting through spam can be a cumbersome, frustrating, and if you are in business - expensive undertaking.

Fortunately, there are effective ways to combat spam. Today we discussed the importance of :

• Using alternate email addresses for shopping

• Carefully reading online shopping and newsletter privacy statements

• Carefully checking to see what boxes to check or uncheck to avoid being put on mailing lists

• NOT responding to unsolicited emails

• Using third party spam software vs. creating your own email filters
