| Crashing a computer or losing all of one's important data files are
among the most feared circumstances of all computer users. This month's
presentation focused on the all important (granted not very sexy) part
of computing that we should all practice -- preventive medicine for computers.
The main highlights were:

Hard drive maintenance (Perform Defragmenter and Scan Disk about once per
month by Clicking on the START button, then Programs, then Accessories,
then System Tools)

System and file backup
-
Ant-virus protection
