Today's meetings were all about sharing. We shared tips, web sites, interesting software and more. The web sites that were shared are listed under the Member Links section below. Here are some of the other interesting tidbits from the meeting:

One question was how to get around the error stating "file will become unstable if extension is changed". This happens when you rename a file (for example digital camera files) and you change or delete the extension. The extension is the three letter designation after the period in a file name. 

To avoid this problem, I recommend not viewing the extensions so that we can't bother them. Here's how:

1. Start Windows Explorer (Windows key + E on your keyboard)

2. Click on View menu (Windows 95/98) or Tools menu (Windows Me/XP)

3. Click on Folder Options

4. Click on View tab

5. Check the box that indicates "hide extensions for known file types"

6. Click OK
