| The group voiced their opinion of having a regular topic each month.
Overall, they felt that the regular topic generated interest before the
meeting and led into a good Q&A session afterwards.
With that in mind, we will have a regular topic each month and do away
with the all Q&A nights. There was also some interest in having
a combined user group meeting with the Mac Users. I will pursue that in
the future.
You can check the topic of upcoming meetings by visiting our Information
Page. That way you will know what the topic is before I send
out the meeting announcements. Any feedback and topic ideas from
you are greatly appreciated. Just drop me a line or give me a call.
We started out tonight by discussing how to "get out of computer trouble".
I demonstrated the proper techniques for installing, uninstalling programs,
and getting a "stuck" program to exit without rebooting your system.
This seemed to generate a good deal of discussion on virus checkers,
downloading programs and other related topics. The array of questons
seemed to cover many of the most common uses of our computers and as always
provided a good learning experience for everyone.
After Q&A, we visited a few web sites that members shared and discussed
some email problems some members were having.
Congratulations to this months
