Well our first month of doing two meetings went very
well. A special welcome and thank you to all the new computer users who
participated this month!
I hope that offering the daytime version of the meeting helps
those who have not participated in our evening sessions to join us and have
some fun and learn a little more about your computer.
Digital imaging remains a popular topic with the Users Group
and this month was no different. Two handouts were distributed at the
meeting discussing the basic editing and saving of scanned or digital pictures
for email. You can download the color version (in Adobe Acrobat format) of the handouts here:
Resize a Photo that was
received
to large via email or on disk
We also discussed how to easily resize a photo that someone
sent to you via email that is too large for the printer or screen.
Here's how:
-
RIGHT Click on the attachment icon or photo itself and
save the photo to your desktop or somewhere else that you can find it.
-
Close or minimize email
-
Open your favorite word processor (Microsoft Word or Word
Perfect and insert the picture via the Insert menu and presto...your
picture fits beautifully and will print the same!
