MP stands for Megapixels. Remember that a 2 MP camera will yield a good 5" X 7" print, a 3-4 megapixel a good 8 X 10, and 5 MP and above will allow much larger prints and great cropping ability.

Canon Powershot Pro1 8MP 8MP and a 7x zoom and very fast shooting	Canon D1 MarkII N This is the best professional camera for journalists and wedding photographers. 8MP and it shoots 8.5 frames per second for 40 shots - takes both CF and SD cards.
Canon Digital Rebel XT Interchangeable lenses, 8 Megapixel, fast shooting, professional power, great crossover camera for the pro	Sigma SD10 This is a 10MP camera for under $1600 for the body. It uses the Foveon chip which allows each pixel to capture any color - very nice image quality. Only uses Sigma lenses.
