Home is where the Wii is
Tonight we had our weekly family night and as the activity part of the evening we made the kids guess what we were doing.
We gave clues like "We (wii) think you will have a lot of fun tonight," or "We (wii) bet you can't guess what we are doing," and "We have already given you the answer in the clues." They went crazy trying to guess until my daughter said sarcastically, "Oh, I bet we are playing wii."
They were shocked when we took out the wii.
It was fun to see even our youngest going nuts playing the game. I will join Vinny in posting a review of the wii in the coming days. So far it is a huge success with the kids.
You may wonder why I don't capitalize wii. Simple, it's one of those words that just doesn't look right capitalized.
Here's a video of my kids playing wii tonight. I filmed it with my Palm Centro, so excuse the less than HD quality.

connect the wii to the internet
How does a tech-challenged mom connect our wii to the internet? We have DSL thru Charter.
...
The French call it "Oui".
wii
Adam, for those us behind the times, who have just barely ever heard of wii, how do you play and what in the world are your kids doing????
What in the wii world is going on
The wii is a video game system from Nintendo. It is unlike the couch potato game systems like XBox and PlayStation in that you play by actually moving the controllers.
In this case the kids were boxing. There are dozens of games available for the wii, but the kids love the wii sports game that the system comes with a lot.
The sports game comes with baseball, bowling, golf, boxing and some fitness activities.
It is a lot of fun and simple for people of any age to play. I would recommend match-ups of people of the same age though. You can see how active my kids are, they kill me every time.
