Voting & Candidate Research

Submitted by Smart Computer User on November 3, 2006 - 11:00am.

Here's a handy website I found during this election cycle:

www.ontheissues.org

It's not 100% comprehensive, but covers quite a few politicians and their stances on issues.

Computers and Ham Radio

Submitted by Smart Computer User on November 3, 2006 - 10:15am.

Rick and Adam. Suggest you run a poll asking something like " How many of you readers are Ham Radio Operators? How do you use your computer to help with your Ham operation? "

I dont vote

Submitted by Smart Computer User on November 3, 2006 - 7:21am.

This system is flawed, Diebold has fixed the elections with their software. Until the system is not rigged, I have no confidence in the election system.

Worse Case Scenario?

Submitted by Adam on November 3, 2006 - 8:25pm.

Let's just say that you're right. If the system is rigged then my vote doesn't count and I wasted my time by filling out the ballot.

But, if the system isn't rigged then the only people who had no impact on the election are those that stayed home.

By not voting you just may be playing into the hands of those who may have created the rumor that the voting system is rigged so that you will stay home.

How about that for a conspiracy theory?
