This week our poll asked whether you YouTube.com or not. For the 1/3 of our voters who haven't heard of YouTube, I want to give you a primer in today's installment of my Shotgun series. YouTube started less than two years ago as a web site where anyone could post short video clips (up to 10 minutes each). In just over a year, the site has become so popular that Google bought YouTube for $1.65 billion. As of the summer of 2006, YouTube was attracting more than 20 million visitors per month and adds 65,000 new videos every day. The short videos run the gamut from how-to to comedy to home movies and everything in between.

YouTube has become so popular that network and cable television stations are using home movie and Internet clips for their programming. Take a few minutes to browse over to YouTube.com and see what all the hullabaloo is about these days.
