no spell check on chrome

Submitted by Smart Computer User on October 12, 2008 - 7:45pm.

I did not find a spell check on chrome. I also did not find the google search engine or a google toolbar on chrome. I have not been able to find a download for the google toolbar on chrome.
How can this be?
I also have made my yahoo my home page on chrome, and having done this can't seem to get back to google chrome start page. Nothing on my home page indicates I am using chrome.
One other thing I like about chrome and firefox is that they go right to my home page. Explorer eight puts up a ad page for explorer and I have to click a home page house icon to get to my home page. I can't get rid of this explorer ad even though I have gone to tools and checked my home page is correctly listed. Does anyone know how to get rid to the ad page which tries to get you to do explorer downloads?
Maybe a follow up tutorial on chrome would help clear up some of these items. Jose in Paonia

chrome starts fast, so does explorer 8

Submitted by Smart Computer User on October 11, 2008 - 3:57pm.

I have been having issues with my computer taking a long time to show my home page after I restart it or after it sits overnight I I would click on explorer seven or firefox 3 and it would take up to 20 to 30 seconds to show my home page. I thought it might be too many programs starting up or lack of memory. However after installing chrome and upgrading to explorer eight, I found that my home page comes up immediately with both of them.
Firefox will have to work on this situation since the time spent waiting for it to start is bothersome.

Chrome does not allow you to

Submitted by Smart Computer User on October 3, 2008 - 7:40am.

Chrome does not allow you to print a selection - have to print the entire page. So I won't be using it.

Chrome No Print Selection

Submitted by Smart Computer User on October 3, 2008 - 11:34pm.

True. Firefox 3 does. didn't try it in Chrome until I read your note. Let's send this to Chrome Bug Report. Only way now is to copy section to Wordpad, pdf, or something else then print. I do use print selection occasionally so I'll have to copy and print from something else. Chrome is so good I use it exclusively except when I have to use IE because a particular program wise. I wouldn't give up Chrome completely because of no print selection. But I hope Chrome does fix this.
thanks,

CHROME

Submitted by Smart Computer User on September 30, 2008 - 10:49pm.

This is a superb browser. Faster than Firefox 3. Does not keep depleting memory. [It gives up what it uses when you close a tab or program.] too many good things and it is continually improving. It is CLEAN. Try it and stay with it for a while [ a month]. there is a comic video that really explains it very well. Rick has the link in either his newsletter or web site. I'll try to find it. It is well worth viewing.
thanks for the opportunity to comment.
