AVG is a great deal for homes and businesses

On the show we often recommend the free version of AVG antivirus. For good reason, a lot of people ask us what the catch is.

AVG uses their free version as a marketing technique. The free version is only meant to be used on a single home computer. The company hopes that people will use it on one computer and then like it so much that they set it up on all of their computers.

If you setup AVG on more than one computer you need to pay for it. Unlike Norton and McAfee AVG is affordable for multiple copies.

I set it up on several computers at a dentist's office today and it only cost $109 for 5 licenses and each of those licenses comes with 2 years of free updates. This is a small and reasonable price to pay for peace of mind and efficiency.

If you are currently running AVG on more than one computer, spend the few dollars that it takes to get on the right side of the law. Unlike Norton and McAfee, AVG provides 2 years of updates as a part of the purchase price. That make it less than $20/year. Click here to read more about multiple license versions of AVG.
