Nikon resurrects classic design

Submitted by Adam on August 28, 2006 - 8:27am.

I just received an email this morning from Nikon announcing their five new digital cameras. Four of them aren't anything too special - they are small and feature large LCDs etc.

Nikon Coolpix s101But, the S10 looks pretty nice . Best of all, it features the twist design of some of Nikons best selling digital cameras of the past.

The rest of the specs aren't too bad either. 6 megapixels, 10x zoom and high ISO for shooting is low light. Best of all, for a 10x zoom, this camera is tiny enough to fit in a pocket.

As for disadvantages, expect nearly every flash picture of people to contain red eye. This design puts the flash right next to the lense. On the other hand, the high ISO settings should mean that you don't need the flash as often. It appears to be a very smart idea from Nikon.

If you liked this post, consider buying me a beer!
