What's the point of Television weather? I know that there are still a few people out there who don't have Internet, but it can't be enough to actually make a significant portion of the TV news audience.

I enjoy hearing the news because no matter where you get your news, you will likely hear something from each source that you won't hear, see or read on the other sources. The same goes with sports, you can read all about it, but to see clips and highlights you have to watch it on TV.

Weather on the other hand is scientific. The guys who read the weather on TV get their information from the same sources that great website like Accuweather [1] and WeatherUnderground [2] do.

Reviewing the weather on the Internet is also more complete. You can see a 15 day forecast, detailed images from space, current temperatures of anywhere in the country and announcements from the various weather services.
