Sony - Inventor of Exclusivity

Sony kicked off their press conference by announcing the Rolly. The Rolly is exactly what you'd expect, a football shaped music player that rolls all over while it plays music.

Think of it as a small Roomba that doesn't vacuum or a football that you can't throw.
The rest of the press conference was full of Sony's proprietary technologies that almost all do the same things as existing technologies.

Some of it was kind of cool, but most of it falls under the same category as the MiniDisc, Digital8, MemoryStick and BetaMax.
