been using the beta of chrome extensively for a few days now. there are some sites it can't access and video seems to bog it down a bit, but it is FAST and i'm guessing the bugs will be worked out (it IS a beta after all). prior to that, i really like firefox and am eager to see what their new release (targeted for the end of the year) will bring.
and i do find it funny that a beta of a google product operates more efficiently than an alleged 'market ready' offering from ms/windows.

I tried Chrome for about 5 minutes. It looks good, it works, and it seemed pretty quick. However, I put hints for all my passwords in the Firefox bookmark descriptions. Without that, Chrome is pretty much unusable for me.

I love Firefox....but I just downloaded and started using Chrome a couple hours ago. It's small, fast, and geeky. It puts IE7 to shame and might replace Firefox for me if it keeps going well. I like my Firefox add-ins, but I'd bet that Google will come up with similar tools (if they haven't already) that I can use.
If nothing else, Google Chrome will make Firefox and (especially) IE get better. IE7 was the best version of IE yet, due Microsoft being forced to compete with features offered by Firefox.
